Oh, Ive been bitten.

Ever Since i did the little 250w system in my dads truck, ive always wanted to put a 12 in a ranger. '

Now ive got around 500w of power, in a single cab truck. :yahoo:

is that a 3" speaker in the 6x9 opening?

at least make an mdf template to cover the hole to mount the thing

Hahahaha. that was a joke between me and my cousin.

I put a 6.5 in his sub boxes.

So he put a 3in tweeter in my 6x9 box.

Sweet man, glad you like it. I'm sure you will be tweaking/upgrading all the time so don't worry about the amp for now.
Only thing I would suggest is clean up those wires man, should be an easy job :icon_thumby:

Freaking cooked it...

Can anyone suggest a sub that would be able to fit in a truck 12" box, and stand up to my amp?

what model number is your amp? if we can find out its true power then we can suggest a range of subs that would be able to handle the power.

what does your amp have for fusing? 1 or 2 channel? My guess is too much boost or gain somewhere and you were clipping the signal bad.

It has 2 40w Fuses.

Its a 2 channel amp.

And its a sony 1200w.

I like my system, but not at the price everyone is quoting....
