New to the forms and new to rangers. Picked up a 89 the other day to have as a trail toy. I have to replace the slave cylinder this weekend but other than that the truck is issue free. Right now she has a 4in body lift and old school 29x7 biased ply mud grips on it. The plan is to ditch the body lift, Dana 30 straight axel the front and get some 31x10.50 on it, build a set of half doors and a few other odd and end stuff. Looking forward to sharing my progress on the build.

Why not keep the body lift, add a 2-3 inch suspension lift and get some 35's or 37's. Once you start doing some trail riding and mudding then you will want more lift so I wouldn't get rid of the body lift. maybe do that last if you still decide you don't want it. Would suck to ditch the body lift then find out you need a body lift for tires or ground clearance.

For what I plan to do with the truck, 33 are as big as I plan on going. And on top of that I have never been a huge fan of body lifts, i can deal with a 1.5 or 2in body but the 4in that's on it is just to much. I will probably wait till the suspension is done before i yank the body lift though

The truck looks good. I agree with keeping 1 or 2 inches of body lift. That could also make it easier if you have to replace the engine later. What engine is in it?
