I completed my first oil change, it took my an hour. Now I gotta do the plugs and wires, hope it goes as smooth.

congrats there buddy. Plugs and wires are pretty easy. Just be careful when you are pulling the wires off. The first time I did it, I pulled on the wire, not the cap that goes on the spark plug and totally ruined good wires. Also make sure you thread them in by hand so you dont strip them. a little bit of vaccume line will help thread them in.

Also using antiseize compound on the treads will make changing them next time easier. you dont want those suckers rusting in there.

Have fun and good luck.

One thing to remember no matter what car your working on is, always do 1 plug and wire at a time. You never want to just rip all the wires off

do i have to tighten the plugs to a certen spec?

You guys are awsome, thanks for all the help. first time doin all this and all your info helps a bunch.

Just snug em with a ratchet. Definatly dont crank em down, if you do they will either snap off in the heads or strip em. Just snug with a ratchet and your good to go. And as mentioned above, antiseize on the threads is almost considered a must. It will make changing them in the future a lot easier compared to if you didnt put antiseize on em.
