Well the model year generally starts around July or August of the previous calendar year. Not all models start the year at the same time.
We sold a 2012 Focus about 4 months ago. I haven't seen a 2012 truck yet.

Well, yours is earlier than mine. My 84 says January 84 on the door tag.
