First gen 3" body lift bumper brackets??

I did the body lift on my 88 ranger...but i hate the gap in the front...anyone have some lift brackets for sale or pictures of fabbed ones? I can't find them anywhere. I even looked through pages of google.

I made some myself but I'm running a gen 2.
Ill try to get a pic up here of them. The factory brackets make it so I have to notch the front of the frame..... "Uh ya ok bud, ill make my own"

Yes but I'm gonna redo them rear. I have custom bumpers but used most factory parts for mounting

i think the bull nose part of the frame is in the way. i did see a guy cut that section of frame and move it up

Back in 1984 when I lifted my '83 Ranger 4x4 with the suspension lift and the bl kit (PA) it came with the front bumper brackets but not for the rear bumper. What bl did you buy??

Pa 3 inch. But they aren't included in any kits anymore because they are "unsafe". They aren't anywhere. Not even on page 17 of google. Lol. I've lurked all over. I wanna fab some but I need pictures and dimensions and whatnot.

Really strange. I did my 99 Ranger back in 2001 with a PA bl and the front and rear bumper brackets came with the package. If you can't locate them take it to a 4x4 shop or a fab shop and see how much they will charge you to do it.

That was part of my plans. But 88 has these weird round shaped things up front.

Couldn't a large piece of angle iron and square tubing be used? I mean the bolts are basically the top and front. I'm not sure how safe it would be. And the part of it that sticks back would probably need to be cut to half depth or something.

If it were mine that's probably what I'd do. If it wasn't too hideous. LOL I'd let the whole thing run all the way from one side to the other too for strength. Seems like all welded up and carefully cut you'd never see it. Except for what sticks below the bumper. Also might have to notch the the bottom of the bumper or arrange it so that it sits farther forward than normal.

did my 89, front was a simple "flat plate" that bolted the bumper, then the lower set of holes went with an extra set of bolts to the frame.

Back was a bit more complex, I ended up using that bumper until recently (needed to do REAL class 4 hitch), chunk of 4" SCED 40 pipe with a "real" receiver.

anyone have pictures? it's out of the barn with a gas tank coming in the mail and i found a tranny close to home 200$ and they pulled it! i would like to cover up the ugly gaps asap!
