Firewall Terminal block

I need to run some new wires from the instrument panel back to the rear lights on my 2000 Ranger, and I noticed that there is a terminal block installed on the lower left side of the firewall, with a LOT of empty positions. Has anyone used this terminal block to run wiring thru the firewall, and if so, what sort of connectors are needed to do this?
