and the aftermath.....

Be careful out there everyone, things can change very quickly. Not asking for anything (we start the fight with insurance tomorrow), just a heads up. We lost a lot of material things, which can be replaced, but one thing that cant be replaced is my dad's saddle (he died in '11).
Heres a pic of whats left of my BOGGERs that I was storing there....

of course my wire feed mig was in there as well. Luckily we had our horses at my house, so no animals were injured (they were getting ready to put some bulls down there, but hadnt yet).
Be careful out there all....

Yea, it sucks big time. I had a fire this spring, lost my 68 Torino and all the rbv parts I've been saving for years. No insurance on that stuff, but had a tool rider and that helped a little. It definitely could have been a lot worse re; animals or humans.

Truely sorry to hear that mark.
Specially your dad's saddle.

That sucks, I am sorry to hear that.

I always keep the power off in my barn when I am not working in there, the wiring doesn't look that bad but I don't have a lot of confidence in the last 150 years worth of electricians that have worked on it. I keep my tractors in it so that makes me extra nervous too... never had a problem but when they are in storage (done for the year) I keep the batteries disconnected in them too.

Some day about the time I put new tin on it and a concrete floor I will get it rewired with more than two light bulbs in the big part. :icon_idea:

Sorry to hear about your barn man hope it all works out for your

Ouch~

Good to hear the animals were safe...and nobody was hurt beyond some material possessions lost.
