Finding an old friend?

I have a question, does anyone know how to find a certin car? reson I ask back when I was 15 or 16 my dad gave me his '68 Plymouth Sport Fury. It had a 440 witha 747 auto trans out of an old state trooper car. Two door black lether, needed trans was in damn good shape when he parked it (needed some body work), but it sat for at least 10 years he moved to Alabama left car behind his mothers house and I begged for it. finally he gave it to me but when he did I couldn't afford to restore it or get it home so it sat longer, well clark county came after saying it needed to be tagged or it had to be gone, so we had no choice but to get rid of it. What I want to know is there any way to find and track down the car if not junked so I can get it back. I still have the old registation somewere. I really wouldn't worrie about it too much but I know its rare I've been to many Mopar show never have seen another one like it they are all either convertables or four doors. Can some one please help?

This is the what it looked like same color too. exept his was lowerd abit and raked and had after market rims.

my guess is it would have been sold at an auction. havent a clue as to how you could find it but i wish you good luck.

Might show up on a Carfax; you need the VIN.

If it is still on the road and had any service by a Carfax reporter, it'll show up. A lot of the chain oil change places report.
