Finally some Mud!

After 2 weeks of solid pouring rain there is only a little mud in the places I can go legally. Besides the airport beach which is salty glacial silt and who knows what else (maybe some more fish carcasses to get flung up on the exhaust.)

Well i decided to make the most of it.

Stay away from those silty beaches... If they're anything like they are in Anchorage, they're baaad news.

I know like 10ft of inescapable mud. in the little section its not so bad but go over the sand dune and you can get stuck in about 5 ft. we had a few jeeps go out there... they didn't come back (one had 40" SS boggers and a built up 350 and it was towed out after high tide went down.

Oh wow you can get towed out? I've heard stories of people and trucks getting swallowed in Anchorage. Although they are many more dumb tourists up there.

These are anchorage people that visit homer in the summer most likely cause I haven't seen most of them around. and the only reason they can get towed out is because they only make it like maybe 5 feet into the mud before they kinda just sink onto their frames, but there are a few people that have lost vehicles down there, its just that most of the locals know better and usually take pretty good care of their vehicles.

Lose any of your trucks to the anchorage silt?

and boggin thats fine so as long as I don't find you humping my truck like a midget on a "lazer".
