Ok A little about me and the truck. I am 34 years old married wife 3 kids 2 boys 1 girl. I have a 425 hp 2000 Mustang gt. My Dad bought this 1993 Ranger New it is a 4 cylinder. He and I both drive about 100 miles a day for work. He has been letting me drive it as I have been working on my former daily driver the Mustang. Well he decided I can have the Ranger to keep It just turned 301,000 miles all Original as well. At any rate I am a car guy and this truck actually means a lot to me. My dad used to drive me to my baseball games in it now I have been doing the same with my sons and daughter. I want to do a turbo or maybe even a v-8 swap to it and restore it to Glory. It really isnt in all that bad of shape but i want to make it Great. well thats it I will be asking a lot of questions I am sure and hopefully I can answer some as well. Thanks
Bob

welcome !! and thats one great story u have with that truck, is it v6?

Thanks... No its a 4 cylinder manual trans

ooo the 2.3, damn! a 2.3 with 3xx,xxx miles!!! show a picture!!

ok as soon as I can get one on here I will. Yeah the thing is ruthless it just keeps on going LOL. It's tired but won't stop. Oil changed on a regular basis and she just keeps motoring : )

Welcome to TRS...my first Ranger had about 375,000 on the original 2.0 (the evil twin of the 2.3) and was running good...would have hit 400,000 easily if I wasn't using it as a DD...so as long as your oil pressure and compression is good I'd just leave it...

I know it ain't the 425 ponies in your Pony, but I'd be willing to be you get way better fuel economy from the Ranger...

The Turbo upgrade would probably be the easiest though if you really need to feel the hammer...:)
