I haven't been on this site in ages, other than looking at the tech library. I figured I would post some pics of my buying/selling progress.

So I started with a 95 extra cab 4.0 automatic. I was gonna build that truck but blew 2 trannys and got tired of it. I didn't make it very far on building it since I was spending my funds on transmissions.
-6in lift
-35" goodyear MTRs
-4:88 gears with LS
-4.5 glassworks fenders
-tube bumper
-pulled bedsides

Then I bought my friends 94 Green ranger for $500 that had a 2.3L manual

-6in lift
-33in BFG mt

Then after beating the hell out of both trucks I decided to should buy a "real" ranger and sell the other trucks.

I just recently got this truck almost 2 months ago. Its a 94 with 4.0 manual.

haha Thanks. Thats why I like my new truck so much because its basically the same but has the suspension that I always wanted to put on my first truck... and its manual.

why buy a built truck and not take that money and build one?

Actually, I think you may have it backwards. I sold the first white truck for $2800 and I bought the new white truck for $4300. So I basically paid $1500 for somebody to put $5000 worth of parts on my truck :D

This truck isn't near done yet though. It still needs the rear-end geared, 16" shocks in the rear, bump stops all the way around, Offroad lights in bumper, cage, and etc

thread out the heims on the radius arms to push the front wheels forward, it'll look a lot better

I was thinking about doing that. I noticed that the shocks have a forward lean to them. I thought I-beam shocks were suppossed to have a rearward lean.

Whats a safe amount to thread out the hiems while keeping strength?

You got the green 94 for $500? Wish I could find deals like that.

they're 1 1/4" heims right? i've always been told the rule of thumb is to keep the same amount of thread in the bung as the size of the heim. so a 3/4 would have 3/4" threaded in at least, 5/8 = 5/8ths threaded, etc.
