Finally a job!

Just finished my second day at the O'Reillys down the street. Pretty cool so far. Still trying to figure things out and not pile up with customers.

I just wonder HOW NAPA is staying afloat with all these discount stores branching out all over the nation?

O'Reillys is the first of these discount auto parts stores that looks like they can do major damage to NAPA and CarQuest, when the O'Reillys opened up in our town, CarQuest shut down.

I really don't know how NAPA can compete? Other than stools at the counters and you can actually SMOKE in the store.

NAPA generally has the highest quality parts of any parts stores IMO. I go there when quality really matters, I need it ASAP, and don't want to pay what the dealership wants.

Yep. I'm always the only one in there. I asked about it and they told me that the majority of their business is supplying other businesses with parts.

Napa sells the best stuff. I don't go anywhere else. I can't stand the line (most of the time the employees will answer the phone and look shit up while 12 people with money in their wallets wait in line), the unknowledgable rotating $8/hr staff--there's never the same people in there and it's tiring having to explain things to them every time I go in there.

They would be very effective if there were 16 items on the menu and you needed a number 8 part.

Your right, when I go in there, they're always on the phone with a local garage. I also forgot, if you order a part before 10a.m. there is a good chance you can pick it up the same day.
