I am going to attemp to make my own fiberglass fan shroud for my Ranger. I have built two already. First just was not going to work fan was too big. So I bought a smaller fan. Second one I made an mirror image of what I need... Dumb mistake from not paying attention, dummy.

Pic of 1st one...

Why not CF? It is stronger and lighter than fiber glass.

It isn't a real high stress part and who cares about a couple ounces.

I haven't had a stock plastic fan shroud break on me yet even with extensive modification with a sawzall.

What did you use for a form when you were laying the fiberglass?

I have pieces of osb with tee shirt type material stretched over it.
