Finally got around to adding a bit of roll protection to the ranger. Its 1.75 .120 wall tube and is welded to the box which is all steel and is bolted to the frame.

I debated adding some triangulation to the main hoop, but for now just added the horizontal bar to tie it all together.

Looks good. Nice & simple.

You gonna put a cage inside at all?

No, there will never be a cage inside the truck. If and when I feel the need for it it will be exo caged and mostly for body protection as wheeling here consists of very tight trails with lots of trees to squeeze through.

Like in your avatar? lol

Well, you certainly got something to tie it to now. Looks good.

i know the feeling about the tree's gets super tight around here...im planning on going exo myself

short cab truck and a cage inside wouldnt be much fun

looks good, great place to mount a spare drive shaft or a high lift, but without triangulation it wont do much against a roll over

I definitely understand the tree thing, and so does my truck from headlights to taillights, LOL.
