does anyone know of a tool i could substitute for the ford tool that pull the little plastic pins out of the fender flares? im thinking of taking them off, i have all the tools EXCEPT the puller deal, any ideas? (id prefer not to break the pins in case i ever want to put them back on...:icon_confused:

Those plastic pins are a BITCH to get out, what I did was stretch them a bit with a pliers then cut the heads off with a snip so the flares come off easy, then I pulled them thro the other side. The lil plastic things not a big deal at all...I went to my local body shop and got 20 of them...for 25 cents, they were literally one cent a piece Haha

Just cut them and buy new pins. If you manage to get them out without breaking them they are frequently damaged badly enough that you don't want to reuse them anyway.

I used one of these garden weed pullers to pull the rubber inner fender out of my Mountaineer. They are about 5 bucks at Walmart. It worked great, but don't tell my wife.
