I have a 2011 Ranger and I was wondering if anyone knows if the fender emblems are just stuck on or if there are holes in the fenders as well? I have an idea for some different emblems and need to know if I will need to do something about the holes. Thanks in advance.

i believe they do have holes for "alignment pins"

Heck, I thought they were all stickies any more. I know the Dodges are. One thing you can try is use some fishing line, and run it between the badge and the metal, and see if it snaggs. If not, you keep on till it comes off. If there is... might be able to press it back down?

It's 3M double sided foam tape and two alignment pins. Last one I took off was an 06, but I don't think they have changed since then. I know the Escape badges had the pins as of 2011.

Ah, I appologize for the misinformation.

I don't think you gave any.

Dodge does have all sticky badges, and the fishing line would tell for sure if there are pins.

Thanks for the replies. My Mustang had the alignment holes. I was hoping to get lucky. I am sure I can come up with a way to conceal them. We'll see.

My 06 without the emblem on:

Get sheetmetal, cut the metal accordingly. Weld in metal. Grind down welds, fill in with fiberglass impregnated body filler. Grind that down, fill imperfections from grinding fiberglass filler with regular body filler. Sand smooth, repaint. Best way to get rid of holes that are not wanted in body panels.

There really isn't any non tacky way of getting rid of those alignment holes other than permanently closing them up. Or putting the emblems back on. That works too. Just sayin'.

Thanks guys. I think the picture answers the question I had about exactly where the "alignment" holes are. I don't plan on going without emblems, I just wanted to see if the ones I am going to replace them with will cover the holes. Looks like they will.
