another vote for the Pantera... something about a Cleveland, a 5 speed and an italian sports car.
Looks amazing, and definitely one of the cheapest motors to build you will find in a mid-engine sports car. Annnnd, what a satisfying sound they make

Mine is my '74 Bonneville 4dr, like this but shit brown. Had it at age 16-17 and that car really took care of me and probably is the reason I'm still alive. I went off the road a lot, drunk, stoned. Never slowed down in the winter. I don't know how many times I watched that thing being winched out of ditches like Luke Skywalkers X-wing in Dagoba swamp. I don't know how many times it was impounded either. It rode well, was heavy and stuck to the road well, carried a lot of teenagers out past curfew. Bounced a lot of deer off that car too on those back roads through endless Iowa cornfields. Pretty decent 400-4v motor, didn't mind being run for 30 miles at 120mph with the pedal in the carpet. Pretty much the perfect car for a teenager without parental supervision. I don't want another one, but I really respected what a good car that was.
