What are the possibilities for the cause of a fast idle for a 89 ranger with a 2.9 litre motor, please?

Could possibly be the IAC as wellOkay, this is good. We’ll be looking for it. Thanks.
What pretale is a IAC and by fast idle I am guessing about 1800 rpm because the tachometer isn’t working?Could possibly be the IAC as well
The IAC is a big round cylinder looking thing thats held onto the upper plenium (the part that says "2.9L electronic fuel injection") on the passenger side with 2 bolts holding it on and a plug going to the back of it.What pretale is a IAC and by fast idle I am guessing about 1800 rpm because the tachometer isn’t working?

Once you locate it, try tapping it with something and seeing if it settles down. If it dont, unplug it. If it dont settle down its stuck.
