Good god why.

Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks. There might be a decent market for such a thing if it's easy-off, easy-on.

If it actually helps mileage I can see it taking off. Especially up here where there are lots of trucks that usually don't carry anything protruding from the box.

Edited OP's post to add pic.

I can't see that providing any significant mpg gains vs using a standard square cap. It reminds me of the late 70's cars when everyone was putting those louvers on stuff like trans ams. Retro but not in a good way lol. Rusty might like it... :icon_rofl:

If they are priced cheaper than a standard cap and I mean much cheaper. I could see picking one up (if i owned an f-150) to use as a smaller/cheaper camper. Looks like it would still have plenty of room to crawl in and sleep comfortably.

Air already makes basically the same thing behind the cab. Especially longer cabs with deeper beds like what are all the rage today.

Depends on the car.

Mustangs? No.
Mustang IIs? No.

But a late 70s camaro with some rake to it and dual chrome tips, with some big fat BFG T/As on cragars? You betcha.

Meh, why not go straight for the padded half vinyl top? Maybe a “Continental” spare on the tailgate?

Michigan Vehicle Solutions is only 40 miles north of me, woo-hoo, I wonder if they could do my Rangers?

Thanks for adding the pic:icon_thumby:

if i could fit in the bed....i could sleep in it comfortable 6.2.....

but i dont fit in those beds.

It's different that's for sure. I saw the price on these and you guys would lose you shnitz! they are well over $3k from what I saw based on these "mustang f150's" I could see the pavement queens putting these on their big lifted trucks that never see the light of mud. I think they did say they add 1 mpg as well.

At least it would pay for itself. :yahoo:
