Just wondering where everyone gets their supplies (spools, rods, flap wheels, cut-off wheels, etc.) from.

:icon_welder:

local welding shop, I have heard of people buying online but we have pretty good local prices

welding wire: lowes or northern tool
flap wheels and cut off wheels:home depot or lowes (they last the longest i've found)

i dont buy the cheapo shit for my angle grinder, the only time i've had a cut off wheel come apart on me was when i decided to try a cheapie from harbor freight

wire from home depot or TSS(local)
cut off wheels, flap wheels and blades from home depot or the snap on guy
i will not buy cut off wheels from lowes, they dont last long for me.

I get all of that stuff from my work for free including nuts & bolts, wire & conectors, spray paint, etc. I have a cool boss. :thefinger:

me to!
i even painted my b2 on company time...and he knew about it. plus used all consumables from the shop.. even the paint was free(left overs from painting semi's). :thefinger::D

Harbor Freight. Bought some cut off wheels from there a few years ago and they worked great as long as you don't hog down on them too much. Still buying them when they are on sale. Also buy my small spools of .030" and .035" hard wire there.

The bottles of gas and big spools of wire come from a local shop.

Flap wheels...have a friend in the fab business. They use tons and only burn the outer corners off of them. He gives them to me by the arm load!
