well i decided im sick and tired of my driveshaft hitting my ra xmember and tired of the f'd up caster and bumpsteer so i hunted around the shop for some scrap metal. i found some pieces and decided to make some ra drops, they are 2" of drop. first i want to know will that be enough to run 4" springs?

next thing, did i drill the bottom holes to far forward(towards the front of the rig)? if i did will i be able to move them using the same pieces i already have? or will it be too close to the holes ive already drilled? pretty much if i redrill the bottom holes further back will it make my tires to close to the back of the fenderwell?

btw this is a rough cut bracket i just wanted to test fit them up before i put too much work into them, the other side is a complete duplicate. and the reason im asking is my passenger side shaft was hitting the bolt in my pivot bracket. another thing is the bolt was never mounted when i got my rig and the bracket kinda pulled away from the xmember, could that be why the shaft was hitting? only on the passenger side? i plan to use my c-clamp and pull it back right and drill my hole and mount it up right

also i just checked my brackets, the bottom holes are around an inch forward of the top holes, so it shifted my beams forward an inch, did i mess up these brackets?

Having the axle a little further forward from stock is not a bad thing at all, though you don't want it so far forward the passengerside shaft is hitting the bolt for the driverside beam.

If you can move it back just far enough to where there's about ½" clearance between the bolt head and the axle shaft/beam, you should be golden. Flipping the bolt around so the nut faces forward might give you some more clearance.

Note you will need to reset the toe alignment with the axle forward from where it was.

maybe consider some 150 or e series arms and relocate the member back under the body mounts.

my radius arm drops brackets from my 4" lift (for sale btw), gave just a little over 2" of drop, so that should be fine.

heres a pic of mine if you need some design ideas

ok, im gonna clamp my pivot bracket and drill the holes and get it right. and flip my camber bolt so the nut is on the front, and see what i can do about the shaft hitting. to me it looked like if i could move it back .5" i would be good, even without flipping the bolt
