let me tell you about the truck (sorry have no pics before the build)..1992 ex cab 2wd ranger pick it up with title for 200 bucks..first i thought i was going with w twin turbo build for drag ..then my daughter told she miss all the old 4x4s ..so i decided to go with a 4x4 ranger..this is was in going with a leaf spring front and back,460 engine,c6 trans and a 203/205 doubler ..rear axle with be dana 60 with 35 spline axle(plan on buying tool to enlarge spindle hole).for now dana 44(will be looking for ford hp60)...

Are you sure you want a 460? Most of what I have read and seen indicates that it's hard enough to get a small block v8 under the hood of a Ranger. It will be interesting to see how you do this build.

roll cage started..i went with a jeg cage ..im looking in to a bender to finshes under hood and rear and any other cage part in side

not to much worried about it ..the biggest would be the steering ...going with stock exhaust madifold..and cutting out engine cross member fab up one to clear the front diff..

sorry about jumping around...been working on this for 4 months now ..just decided to start a thread..i started on the front hangers got a set from barns 4x4 to fit 3in wide springs ..got springs of my 1978 f250 4x4 parts truck..they are 56 long so i moved front axle forward about 3inches and install short end of spring to the front and tied in to roll cage and frame ..

mean while waiting for parts i decided to tear down the 460(why 460 it was cheap and i have a bb c6 came from my parts truck)..cant believe what they did to the motor .bone heads ..why buy new parts to only use half of them ..main bearings..all new upper ones but lower had 3 new and 2 old ?wtf...then oil pump new case and gears but where pick up screen is its old ..

got my np205 friday sweet ..just have to get the jed doubler kit..

got some parts in from barns 4wd..out riggers and front hangers ..just waiting to get little warmer before installing the front winch mount with hangers..
