F150 bumper on a 2000 Ranger XLT?

I hope you guys can help me solve a mystery. Once upon a time my father hit a deer and trashed his front bumper and other stuff on his 2000 Ranger XLT. He passed away around 2 1/2 years ago and I just got the truck this week. I was told, but don't know if it's possible, that the body shop didn't have a Ranger bumper at that time and it would be a while before they could get one. My father didn't want to drive around without a bumper so they allegedly put an F-150 chrome front bumper on.

What do you guys think? Is that a Ranger bumper of an F-150? Interchangeable?

An F-150 bumper would be much wider on a Ranger than that, if you could even get bolts in it to hold it to the frame.

Can anyone tell me what years of Rangers front bumpers will fit my 2000 Ford Ranger Ex-tended cab XLT 2.5L 5speed manual 2WD..? I've become so confused because I've been given so many different answers that I'm not sure I could make a decision on buying one at this point... Can someone please shed some light on this for me...?
