F@#$%^&* Thieves.....

true, i dont know what the rules in PA are though. in NC, the criminal has to have forced his way into your home before you're authorized to use deadly force. just being on your property will land you in a jail cell real quick, even if you dont kill them.

Yea i know, the rules of engagement are pretty strick but its the gray areas that are the scarey part.

My favorite tool, and i have them in my garage, and around the house.

motion sensing deer trackers.

they take pics in the dark. they are solar powered and they are $100 each. i have 3. only takes pictures when they sense motion (and no, the road traffic doesnt bother them). one in the garage, two pointed at my truck. all. night. long.

and my windows open at night.

PA's rules of engagement state that you must tell them loudly and clearly to get off your property 3 times. After that, empty your clip.

if you kill them whos to say that you didnt tell them 3 times? people hunt around my house all the time so no one would think twice about a few gunshots going off during the day or even night for that matter. hmmm... maybe thats why i keep a shovel in the truck!

Hmm... wonder how fast I can say that..... lol

So far no luck, local police informed me that there have been a rash of thefts for scrap around the township.... I would have thought that living in the country would have prevented this sort of thing...

what sucks it they only care about their drug fix, and how to pay for it.

the dog is fine (better then my wallet)the dog got his stitches out today. he went with me to pick up a rebuilt transmission 30 miles away and to his vet 40 miles from where we were. he enjoyed the ride.

i am 80% sure i know where the dude lives. i got enough info from a neighbor whom he was soliciting for scrap. to trace down where he lives and the description of his truck fits his truck. the only thing keeping me from seeking revenge is the fear of getting caught. it just dont seem worth it.

I see our resident motorboater strikes again, lol.....

I made sure the axles "grew roots" for now. At this point it's time to begin reaching into the infamous bag of "dirty tricks" though... lol

Scrap thieves. It's 11c a pound right now. I took ~800# of junk down to the yard a few weeks ago, just a loose pickup load of crap we had lying around, and got $90.

Ninety bucks is a lot of dough to a guy that scraps. Most of us don't think about it. You steal a full-size pickup or old Chrysler Newport out of a field, that's $400.

I'm an insomniac with a gun. This is the wrong house.

By the way, there are no rules of engagement for civilians. Three warning and shoot? That's bullshit.

Generally, you can shoot to protect yourself unless you live in one of those pathetic eastern states. You go out to confront thieves, don't point a gun at them. Tell them the haul ass. If they attack you, shoot them. If they haul ass, call the cops.

Your axles have gone through the chopper by now. Sorry.

i'm guessing if your firing shots, they won't be counting how many times you told them to leave.

"Officer! We want to press charges against that crazy land-owner....we accidently walked into his shed and was carrying some stuff out into the moonlite so's we could see what we tripped over.......when all of a sudden he violated our civil rights by emptying a clip at us...We're also gonna sue him for a million dollars--as we injureded ourselves running thru his barbedwire fence that was not visibly marked!"

LOL, another good point

Need to get your self on of those inferred cameras that people put in the woods to track game. That way you can get some sleep.

Sadly enough, this doesn't seem that far-fetched...
