Just got my 85 Bronco 2 running. It's a little rough though and I'd like to check the timing. However, I have no idea where to point my timing light. I'd greatly appreciate the help.

Passenger side at the damper pully there is a round thing and a pointer. Use the pointer the easyest way is to get under the front of the motor and mark the damper pully one mark back from the 12 mark. If your running with the computer pull the spout connector apart. Fromt the distributor connector trace it back a bit there is a single wire coming out of it that is the spout wire. Disconnect it and start the motor and time it at 10 degrees btdc. If it is durasparked disconnect the vacuum advance and plug the vacuum line with a screwdriver or drill bit and time it the same.

Sweet. Thanks! I'd also like to check the compression on it. What's a good PSI range to look for? It's a stock engine.
