Hello, I have a 1987 Ford Ranger I bought some mustang wheels for. I have determined to get them on without the hubcap area interfering I need a 10mm spacer. Only problem is then my studs are too short.

I am having issues finding a ten pack of the 1/2-20 0.570" knurl wheel studs in a length around 10mm longer than stock that I need. Has anyone bought anyone wheel studs in such a length for their wheel swaps? What is the tolerance in knurl diameter, would 0.579" be press able? Do you have any other suggestions?

Seems like if I get a bolt on spacer they would have to be atleast the length of my current studs to work which way over 10mm.

Thank you,
Grabo

You could still use a spacer, the lugs would just have to be cut off flush with the wheel mating surface.

Just being able to install without the center cap interferring should be 2nd on the list. Getting the offset correct should be 1st (you don't want rim/tire making contact with frame/steering/sway bars/etc, when suspension is flexing at full travel/steering lock and load correct on bearings.) For most Mustang wheels I have seen, they are at least 30mm negative, so 25mm spacer works and that depth of spacer installs without issue on stock studs.

I think it would be hard to find 10mm hub centric spacer for older Ranger (63.5mm id) and Mustang rim most of which are 70.6mm.
