I have a 99 2wd extended cab with four doors. Both of my rear doors dont seem to latch completely tight. So when i hit a bump it shakes the doors. I pulled on them and it is loose at the bottom latch.

Is there any way to adjust these to make them seal properly? I sometimes have kids in my car and im afraid the doors will unlatch.

Thanks

Realistically the rear door cannot unlatch and open while the front door is closed. Stick a screw driver in the lower latch as if it were the striker and see if the latch is actually latching. The bottom ones can freeze up after a while because all the water and everything runs over them, unlike the top ones.

If all that is good, loosen the striker bolts on the bottom and move it all the way in towards the middle of the truck. That will hold the door tighter to the body when it is closed.
