hey all i see on the explorer rear swap it sas to flip the spring pads... i did a flip kit on my ranger do i still have to do this?

a "flip kit" would work to put an explorer axle in a 2wd but is insufficiently stable
for a 4x4 which needs to use spacer blocks

The other issue is that there are no shock mounts on an explorer axle.

Explorers have their lower shock mounts on the lower spring plates.

Generally speaking it's easier to weld spring pads to the explorer tubes
and fabricate shock mounts.

as for U-bolts and spring plates?

Got a u-pull-it junkyard near you?

the pieces from an F-150 4x4 are the right size for the job:)
