hey everyone one my moms 2000 explorer started leakin antifreeze from the back of the motor(well at least dripping from there) a guy at my dads work thinks it is the intake do you guys have any ideas

yea it has a blow head gasket or craked head how had is that to change or should my parents pay a shop to do it?

for coolant to leak externally it's usually either an intake manifold gasket or a freeze plug, more common is the intake manifold gasket. not knowing what I was doing (never worked on a 4.0 before) I managed it in a few hours...

I would bet on a freeze plug. You tend to see that a lot this time of year as people never keep up with their antifreeze changes. If it is very cold where you live recently and your antifreeze is not good to low temps it is very possible it turned to ice and pushed one freeze plug out a litte. Drive it to get it warm, leave the radiator cap on so the collant system stays pressured up, than start crawling around and stick your head up next to the firewall and under the truck to find where it is comming from.
