im thinkin of doing the exploder spring swap and was wanting some feedback from people that have already done it. the big thing that i would like to know is how do they flex? im trying to keep the articulation and possibly gain more. i would do the cheby 64's. i already have them in the shop, but i just dont have the time at the moment. thank you.

Well I went from Ranger leafs to the explorer leafs with extended shackles...didn't care for them and ended up doing the 63" chevy swap with extended shackles. Couldn't be happier now!

im just using them to get me by till i have the time to do chevy spings. i just wanted to make sure i wasnt going to lose any articulation with the exploder springs

You aren't going to lose any, but you won't gain any either. That is the exact reason I went to the 63's.

yeah i did the explorer leafs and wasnt happy with them, i think the stock ones are better. flex more i think. do the 64S!

I am happy with my leafs and drop shackles. Better than the broken shackle that was on there when I bought it.

I agree the stock ones had more flex, but that also came with the sag.

i just finished the swap and it went pretty good. i also extended tha shackles 2 inches. i did a flex test before and after and actually got a couple of more incshes of articulation. i ended up with 33 inches frrom the ground to the tire held up with the forklift. thats with the t bars cranked. not bad if you ask me.
