I recently installed the Explorer full size console in my 94 and while doing research didn't come across too many pictures of them installed in this dash style so I wanted to post up a few of my results for people to reference

In the back where the hole is, there was originally the controls for the stereo and hvac but since mine is a manual the ducting had to be cut out so the piece that was originally where the shifter is now was cut in half and the back now has a sort of cubby hole. Also I thought the console would bolt right in some factory mounting holes, but this was not the case and i had to drill and bolt it to the floor, no big deal though.

what year exploder is the console out of?? it looks great :icon_thumby:

Holy crap! This is the holy grail of pictures I've been looking for forever. You have bigger pics or is that it? Nice job by the way. Looks better than I thought it would.

Can we get a shot of where it meets the dash at the top?

I've been thinkin about doin this for a while just need to find a full length console.

Hopefully these are a little bit better pictures..

This picture shows the notch i cut out because i thought the console would sit farther forward but it didn't, woops.

I could have pushed the console forward a little to close up this gap but the shifter already almost hits the plastic piece. It's really not that noticeable anyway though.
Hope these help!

no the ashtray doesn't open, but I just spliced the cigarette lighter wires to the one in the console
