First post by newbie, though a long time lurker. This site has saved me a BUNCH of money!!
Question: I have a 94 ranger xtra cab 4x4, 3.0 manual. Have a chance to pick up a 91 explorer auto 4x4 4.0 auto with blown moter CHEAP. Thinking about it for a parts rig. Are enough parts interchangeable to make it worthwhile?
For instance -- seats, bumper(front), hubs, etc. Maybe rear end, I think explorer has 8.8 inch.
Any help appreciated!!
THANKS!!

Yes, quite a lot of parts will interchange. Not the transmission or rear driveshaft, though. Probably not the seat tracks (though the seats probably will) -- however, it's worth a try.

the seats and tracks will interchange IF you have an extended cab....if you have a regular cab, then you can take the seat tracks off both seats and put the Explorer seats on the Ranger tracks.....

there are numerous parts that will interchange...
