Explorer Conversion

Has anyone done an Explorer front end Conversion on a Ranger? What years are interchangeable and what needs to be changed? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Do you mean put an explorer front end onto a Ranger?

If so you can, from 83-97. Most of the stuff should work. Steering, etc.

If you are talking front sheetmetal you can't do it without a lot of work.

Explorers are tad wider in the fenders, and the fenders do not have bodylines to match a 83-92 Ranger anyway.

However you can stick a 91-94 Explorer grille on a 89-92 Ranger and the vast majority of people will believe you when you tell them you swapped the entire front end.

I see you have a 93 Ranger right now, if an explorer would interchange with it it would be the 95-01 bodystyle. I am not so sure about those.

they make fiberglass ranger to exploder conversion fenders.. i think the exploder front end is ugly as anything so on our exploder we went the other way.. converted it to the ranger front end..
