can someone tell me if there is any truth that explorer coils are taller then a ranger coil.I have a 4.0l 1991 ranger, i cant seem to figure that they would be different.what im getting at is leveling out my truck my front is down compared to the add a leaf that i have in the back, would like any advice that you guys can give thanks.

coil spacers

do you think i would need anligment after putting in a 1' spacer? and also when i look at my springs the first 4 coils are collapsed are they shot?

yes any time you lift or lower you will need to get a alinment.

do you have a pic of your coils,....if you got coild alomst touching sounds like they are in need of being replaced

They are probably the same as what you have now... The non 4.0 trucks get lift from the explorer coils not through longer length, but from a stiffer spring rate that doesn't let the spring compress as much.

coil spring

just orderd a set of coil springs today from napa heavey duty factory spring, probley nothing heavey duty about them but there better then what i have now.
