explorer 8.8 swap as well as springs

I have seen some discussion on the site about swapping in explorer 8.8s on a ranger rear end. I would like to do this to get the bigger axle and the 32, as well as the 10in disks. I have also seen in the lifting on a budget section that explorer leaf springs on a ranger will give you some lift. can I still get the lift if i swap in the explorer axle as well. and do i or do i not have to reverse the perches? I am asking because these were seperate discussions and dont really know what to expect with both axle and springs installed.

Yes you have to weld the spring perch on top of the axle. The ranger and explorer shackles are different and that's where the problem comes from.
