I did it on the 98 i had. Small hands and long extensions with swivels are your best friends. 7 out of the 8 arnt bad but the back one on the drivers side makes up for it. Theres a huge clustered mess of vaccum hoses and other lines you gotta weed your way thru.

Good luck and godspeed

I don't because it takes to long, but the easy way is to pull the fuel rails off. It gives you all kinds of room and access with common tools.

I have a set of swiveling plug sockets, various wobble extensions, and a flex headed fine tooth ratchet.

BTW you don't wanna have to pull that engine... It's a fun one...

It's not THAT bad. It takes a good 2 to 3 hours and a good assortment of extensions and a swivel. I also used a rubber hose to hold the plugs while I inserted them and started the threads down in the head. It helps you to not strip the threads. I also used two different spark plug sockets: one with the rubber insert (for extraction) and one without the insert (for tightening). Also, use anti-seize.
