Nice new digs here at TRS!!:D

I noicted in tearing down some other 2.9's that most/all do not have exhuast gaskets between the head and the exhaust manifold..??

I'm in the middle of a complete rebuild of my 2.9....Should I use the exhaust gaskets supplied with overhaul gasket kit? or not???

I would love to go back with headers....but the old manifolds save me $$.

any other in sites will be welcome.

thanks

If the gasket surfaces are clean and smooth, do not use the gasket. If the gasket surface on the manifold is really rough you may want to get it surfaced.
If it has a gasket it will eventually leak. No gasket, no leak.

Ok that makes sence....my manifold surfaces are pretty good so I may try with out the gaskets.

apprecite the input

I just did mine without gaskets.....hopefully tomorrow I'll be running and know if they leak or not.
