I have a 94' b4000 and thanks to these forums I have concluded that the loud clicking noise is a exhaust leak from my manifold. I want to get more power plus a better sound so decided to just get headers. These are the cheapest ones I fould.

I searched 94' b4000 for these

94' ranger for these

would the ranger ones fit? same year and all...i went to napa and asked them about headers and they said all they could find for mazdas were the pacesetters. What do you guys think? has anyone run these headers...any problems? good ones bad ones?

I have Hedman headers and they've worked amazing. You need to coat them yourself, but that's why they're a little cheaper than others. They're well built and installation is pretty straight forward after you get done cussing at the manifold and y-pipe bolts refuse to come out.

As for exhaust, dont buy a throw together kit. I had one custom made for me with a flowmaster super 44 and dual stainless steel tips, bent, welds, and hung for under $300 INCLUDING installation.

Nice, the headman's were the ones I liked. I think those will be what ill end up with. How did it effect your HP and fuel consumption?

Got my stainless steel exhaust system up in my truck for less than 150 bucks. It is guaranteed for life too. Gotta love Dynomax!

Kemo,

Where did you buy that system? I'm assuming it was a kit. I live in sitka AK, on an island so getting kits are are to do and expensive. Would like to get a custom but no one in town to do it..?

On basically stock 4 liter it will not do much- (i also have b4000 4x4 1994) except cost you money. You are buying sound ,and that may be enough to justify the expense as it is your money and you should enjoy it as well as your truck! Most fuel savings is eaten up because they sound cool and you drive with your foot in it to HEAR IT! LOL - So if you like the sound GO FOR IT ,but truthfully not much HP to be had there.

Well im sure there is some increase of HP but the sound is great too! My exhaust manifold is leaking..i think so it would be, replace the manifold or just get headers. Badmts you have a 94' eh? Have you done anything to it?

yes quite a bit actually -33x12.50-15 m/t's on 15x10 baja, frt 10k winch, rear 8k winch, rear locker installed, frt locker this week,90% of exterior is covered in LINE-X (professionally done ,not DIY) CB RADIO

BE CAREFUL THOSE BOLTS ARE TRICKY! Here is a list of things I hope you will NOT need-1.Torch 2.ez out 3.tap & die set 4. VISE-GRIPS :icon_welder:

Damn, you got quite a bit done to you 94'. I also hope I do not need those tools...the left manifold looks to be the hardest to get to. What set up (headers/exhaust) do you have, if any?

If the EZ Out snaps in the hole u drill into the snapped off bolt.....like mine did.....just take a hammer and punch and beat the dog snot out of it until it shatters the rest of the way! I'll never use one again! PURE JUNK!!!!!

Still haven't decided what to do..id like to keep working on it but the frame has some rust issues that might end up making all this work for nothing. Will post pics if I do go for it

Hey badmts, I don't mean to be a threadjacker or nothin I just got a quick question, are you runnin stock gears with you 33's?
