I am planning on getting a dual exhaust for my ranger, if so should I go with Flowmaster or Gibson, and from there should I go with straight out pipes or pipes that come out behind my tires?
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

youtube to see which one you will like better. i would say flowmaster.

and tip exit is your personal taste. there wont be any sound difference. i like em straight out the back, but thats just me.

again, all personal preference.

I like the Gibsons but like Widdow says, it is personal pref. As far as the tip exit, if you run them out the back and do any off-road, you are going to smash them shut and have to cut them off. I'd say exit just behind the rear tires to the side. Either way, make sure your new system includes a crossover tube between the two sides or your exhaust will sound like two 3 cylinder engines fighting with eachother. Not good.

FLOWMASTER DELTA 40 OR MAGNAFLOW.

those are the two i would go with.

Yeah I would get a flow 40 and out the tire sides. like they say its youe choice but i seen way too many trucks with them straight out the back. plus if you go out the sides people hear you on either side while you drive by where as they can only hear you after you left if they are straight out the back.

And yeah you could get an x pipe or h pipe to connect the two sides if your doing true duals. but true duals are kinda overkill on a 3.o.

Tip placement does make a difference in sound.

I forget the differences, cause it's been so long since I jacked with my exhaust.

When we built my exhaust we tried 3 sets of tailpipes. 90* behind the tire, 45* to the corners, and straight back. I liked the angled one the best, really aggressive sounding yet still throaty.

2.5 from the y-pipe with a high-flow cat and a 40 series dual outlet with 2.5 tail pipes and 22" long 3" tips angled out the back sounds awesome.
Little on the loud side, but nothing compared to the 5" single pipe I have now.

Oh! leave it stock. I didn't realize you had a 3.0L. Those sound like the father of all Hondas with exhausts on em.

Flowmaster delta 40 or magnaflow will give ya what ya want. og 40 is too loud. delta will give a nice mellow rumble, while sounding nice when revving.

:agree:That's what's on my truck, rumbles like a V8 at idle and low RPM, and don't sound raspy at higher RPM.
Since the delta flow 40 is quieter I use big tips to make it louder, but still have the muffler to take out the raspy/honda type sounds.
