How much of a PITA is it to remove the exhaust manifolds on a '95 Ranger 3.0L??
I'm up here in the rust belt,CT, and the bolts don't look to bad (there not rusted off...yet:D) but they are pretty rusty, and they have never been taken off that i know of. I just want them to come off without breaking ANY bolts. Is that even possible???
What would be the most cautious way to do this....alot of PB blast? heat them up?
All i have is hand tools and a propane torch. No air. No welder. No drill. :dunno::dunno:
my driver side manifold is warped (so the stealership says) and i have a brand new one sitting in the garage. Isn't it bad to have warped exhaust manifolds??

I have a '93 3.0L (same manifolds as you), when I installed my headers, the Driver's side was a PAIN!!! to remove. The Passenger side was a little easier due to a lot more room to work around. Spray the bolts with PB blaster every day the week prior to working when the engine isn't hot (if you can touch it without burning yourself, its cooled off enough) This is all I can recommend, if you snap a bolt then your lookin at a lot of fun.

ALL exhaust manifolds are hard to remove. :thefinger:

Yea, there ain't no sure fire way of getting one off without breaking bolts, thats why at work we DON'T quote exhaust manifold replacment time. It takes what it takes.

Mine weren't too bad on my 93, two were already broken so that was a pain, but the rest we heated and extracted. Like previously stated, the driver side was a bit of a beotch. Good luck to you :icon_thumby:
