Morning
We have a very bad exhaust leak at the connection point between the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe on my son's 94. Tried tightening the two bolts but they don't move.
Wondering if there should be a gasket of some sort in there. Can't find anything on parts websites showing a gasket.

Thanks

No gasket, it's a tapered flange on the manifold and the pipe has a cone to match it. You'll want to back the nuts off and go back in to see if you can get them tighter, might need to add a washer or something. Don't remember if those are bolts or studs with nuts... either way they just need to be tighter assuming that's where it's leaking.

the flange on the header is threaded and the loose flange on the downstream side just attaches with bolts to pull it in tight, no studs. I forget the size though. Mine were impossible to remove. After fighting with it for an hour, I hit it with the impact and they snapped smack in two... had to drill and tap the header flange to get it back together
