Almost every exhaust manifold bolt snapped when removing the heads in my sons 89 2.9. I have new heads ordered but can't seem to find the bolts for the exhaust manifold. Can anyone here help?

local parts houses have the bolts. I got some at autozone.

Thanks. I looked at their online site and couldn't find them. Probably just my lack of search skills! :shok:

They were some metric size, I can't remember what it was specifically. I have a set lying around, but they go to a set of pacesetter headers. Someone was going to buy them off me (the headers and Y-pipe) for $30 + shipping, but never followed through on it. :dunno: The bolts I have are too short to be used with the stock manifolds though.

The bolts that hold the manifolds to the heads?

Those are 8mmX1.25 (metric) bolts

But if you need to drill any of them out buck the current and helicoil
them for 5/16"-18, because english 5/16" bolts are generally available
in more lengths.

The bolts that hold the Y-pipe to the manifolds? 12x1.75
