Exhaust Leak or Anti-Seize smoking?

Hello all,

I just put my exhaust back together with some anti-seize on the y-pipe studs. While warming the truck up I notice a little smoke curling up from underneath and crawled under to take a look. It seemed like smoke was coming off the studs holding the y-pipe to the catback where I had added anti-seize.

I had put a lot of torque on the nuts when I put the exhaust back together and used a new gasket. Does anti-seize smoke for a little while after its first applied? Or do I have an exhaust leak?

Didn't smell like exhaust...

Anti-seize is nothing but grease with metal dust mixed in. Sometimes it's copper(new types), but I've seen it with lead (old types) or aluminum (new types).

Grease will smoke at high temperatures, so it is likely the grease is smoking. This will not affect the properties of the anti-seize, since the metal doesn't burn off.
