Hi, i bought a super 44 flow for my 2.9 BII. The muffler in/out is 2 1/4 and the exhaust is 2". What kind of connectors do i need? I tried a set, which i think was 2 1/4 in and 2" out, which the 2 1/4 evened up with the flowmaster, so there was no way to get it in. I think i need to go the opposite, 2 1/4 out and 2" in, am i right?

you need to match up the inner diameter and the out diameter. take that muffler into a parts store and match up the adapters to get what you want.

Well what i did to my buddies toyota is that we cutted off the muffler and drive it straight piped to the parts shop and put connectors in the exhaust/muffler to see what we needed. I think i should do that, but i'm scared of 2 things: Cops and hurting my exhaust valves

i dont know where you are, but i drove my b2 about 6 miles here in raleigh with only the headers on the exhaust manifold, no muffler, no y-pipe. just be sneaky, lol, and the cops wont bother you

Well i live in Oregon, a town of like 5000 people. I guess as long as i dont rev the piss out of the engine straight piped i should be alright. They aren't so worried about loud cars during the day so much, mostly during the night i would most likely get a ticket for noise disturbance.
