My 2008 3 litre sport caught fire while idling in my driveway last weekend. Pretty localized damage to the passenger kick panel, smart. Junction box tottally baked as well as main cab harnesses. I have baught a used sjb from a wrecker including a section of harness to splice in. Now assuming i can localize the circuit and repair the short can the sjb be interchanged freely?
Donor vehicle was a loaded automatic as opposed to my base model 5 speed. It was the best i could find locally. I found it strange how all of my fuses were intact.
Also any pointers where to find wiring schematics for an 08?
Im pretty stressed as its my only transportation to making a living. Insurance is calling it a mechanical defect so no fire coverage and I cant pay dealer rates.
