I was putting on new shocks today. I've been spraying the nuts for almost a week with PB blaster so i was hoping for the best. I started on the left rear and that came off pretty easy. then went to the right rear, not much problem there either. went around to the right front and that came off ok, even though i had to use a hammer and a little persuasion to get the bottom nut off. the top nut was stuck pretty good and busted off the top of the old shock. sweet, no problem there. then the last one. thought i'd do the same thing, take of the bottom nut and bust the top bolt off the shock and snap! thats the one that killed me. the stud broke off at the shoulder. :annoyed: so when i go to take the top nut off, the nut is rusted so bad there are no corners on the nut. so i bend the shock up and break the stud off and out it comes.

so i found some replacement shock mount bolt at advance auto that should do the trick, but i see lots of grinding and cutting in my future. i tried to hit that stud with a hammer and of course, that is nice and strong.
