evap system incomplete?

Ok I have driven over 293 miles my scanner has said that I have gone through 20 cycles. But my evap system is still not ready. Haven't cleared codes yets I get a p0500 speedo code. Besides that is it normal for the ecu to take this long to ready up?

Pretty unusual but it depends on your driving habits.

Say one would just remove the evap system and plug the hose...what would be the downfalls if any of this?

Letting your expensive fuel escape out into the air. Nothing to gain

No, but if you leave the Evap system intact the computer will suck the fuel vapors in and use them

True. I just don't want the hassle of making all the sensors and what not work between the 5.0L and 4.0L.

OBD1 systems don't care. So just cap it off or connect the purge valve normally

Still incomplete after 2000miles haha
