Thanks a lot. I'm now trying to map between the diagrams and what I have in the engine bay. The two hoses coming out of the DPFE sensor are not correctly connected?

The hose from the back of the EGR manifold is connected to a point in the air admission manifold, for example - the one with the red screw.

Where should the hose under the rubber air intake cover should go?

It's hard to see in your pictures. But, down there where that red screw is is the egr tube. The 2 little pipes from that metal tube should be connected to either side of the dpfe sensor. Nowhere else. I think the one closer to the firewall connects to the "hi" port on the sensor and the other connects to the "ref" port of the sensor. If that doesn't work, reverse them.

Great, thanks. What about the one that connects to the air intake duct?

I don’t know. I’d have to look and see what else is missing in your engine bay.
Is there a vacuum port on the EGR valve? If so, that needs a source of manifold vacuum.

Folks, I managed to connect the right stuff from the DPFE sensor to the exhaust manifold. My last question is about the smog evap valve: one end goes to the charcoal canister, and the other end goes to the a point below the intake manifold, right?

Thanks a bunch, folks. I tested it yesterday - not a lot, just around 40km - but so far no check engine light. I also replaced the air filter for good measure, it was brown. Cheers!
