I used to get 17mpg with 35's and 4.56. Now its around 11mpg. My problem is the mileage dropped within one gas tank full. So something happened, and I want to find what happened to get it back to where it was. Since this is my DD, I put close to 30 miles a day and at ~$4 a gallon it adds up.

Hopefully today is my last day of DDing my truck. I drive ~75miles a day and $4.00 fuel for this pig is getting old.lol

I bought bad gas and I was back firing soon after and my already bad mileage got worse. After a few tank fill ups, the back firing has almost calmed down and my mileage increased slightly. I put a bottle of heat and octane booster in and that helped out a bit.

Personally I think all the fuel we are being sold for way to much is trash.

It could of been bad gas, but next tank was 12 and following tank was almost 13. But on this tank it has the new fuel filter, new plug wires, one new spark plug since the electrode was almost gone. Also the snorkel upgrade is on this tank full.

I haven't removed the cat yet. Been busy with other stuff and need a 2.5 to 2" adapter and a flange so I can just bolt in and go....but in actuality, I might just weld it together.

I have the same problem i never get to do one full tank without towing or going into 4wd. Screwsup my mpg tests every time..

Yep. That tank was ALL trails. Zero pavement. 17 of those miles were put on by my 14 yr old brother driving around in my yard lol. After an hour, he had the clutch down well.

The tow rig gets 18 empty and 15 towing the Ranger. Works for me lol

Weird... must be a ranger thing my samurai and my diesel Hardly use any fuel on a trail. Byt they are geared to hell so im idling 90% of the time
