I've been trying to decide on how to trim the fenders. I want to keep it looking as much as stock as possible. Don't want to cut more than I need. I was thinking just trim the bottom corner, that's the only place it rubs...but what do I do with the inner fender?

i jsut cut the rear portion off my inner fender on the mazda. about 6" up from the rocker area straight across twords the engine bay

That might work. I might even try to fold it to make it look like stock.

My brother gave me an idea, cut a v out of the bottom and then weld it back together so that way I keep the factory edge. This way I won't have any Sharp edges. What does everyone think?

Cut a v notch out of the bottom of the fender instead of just hacking the corner off. I wish I could take a pic and draw an example. Ugh. It's hard to explain with out pictures.

I get it, should work fine, but you will have to repaint after you weld. What if you cut, then fold it? Meaning, draw a line where you want to cut, then move it over an inch, cut, then bend it back at the original line. That way you dont 'have' to weld. Just my idea.

That's a possibility. I'm not worried about painting, my brother does a good job at that.
